The Qur’ān is the sacred Book that was revealed to Muhammad ﷺ, the last of the Prophets. The Qur’ān was revealed to him gradually, bit-by-bit over a 23 year period – from the time of his call to be a Prophet in 610CE until shortly before his death in 632CE. Muslims believe that Allāh (SWT) does not speak directly to humankind, rather He created them, then sent to them Messengers to inform them that Allāh (SWT) created them and commands them to worship Him. This is in order to distinguish which of humankind will have faith in a Lord they will not see or speak to until after death. Revelation is conveyed to mankind through the Angel Jibreel (Gabriel) .

1. بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ
1|1|In the name of God, the Gracious, the Merciful.
2. الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ
1|2|Praise be to God, Lord of the Worlds.
3. الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ
1|3|The Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
4. مَالِكِ يَوْمِ الدِّينِ
1|4|Master of the Day of Judgment.
5. إِيَّاكَ نَعْبُدُ وَإِيَّاكَ نَسْتَعِينُ
1|5|It is You we worship, and upon You we call for help.
6. اهْدِنَا الصِّرَاطَ الْمُسْتَقِيمَ
1|6|Guide us to the straight path.
7. صِرَاطَ الَّذِينَ أَنْعَمْتَ عَلَيْهِمْ غَيْرِ الْمَغْضُوبِ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلَا الضَّالِّينَ
1|7|The path of those You have blessed, not of those against whom there is anger, nor of those who are misguided.
